Public service announcements and reporters

We try to advertise a few of our events outside our website, but we do not have good contacts to get the media to make free Public Service Announcements or PSA’s. We’ve thought about trying to develop that but we never have, and I’ve seen some of our charity partners with contacts to make the PSA’s. As I write this, I think it’s time for us to develop better media contacts!

When a reporter does want to do a story about us, they often want to start with somebody who has benefitted from our work. – maybe through a donated computer. We identify to the reporter a good human interest recipient and that makes the reporter more interested in doing a story about us.
